Tracy SegretiNovember 22 and 23 from noon until 5:00 and then again on November 29 the artists at the Mahoning Commons will be holding an open house and auction. The artists are located in the old Ward Baking Company on lower Mahoning Avenue across from the U-Haul Building. There are more than twenty artists participating. Art work will include paintings, pottery, sculpture, drawings, photography and jewelery and an amazing array of handmade crafts. In addition Jerry Treharn owner of the building will have special tours of his fine Victorian furniture shop. Five floors of studios will be open and art work will also be exhibited in the hallways. This is a family oriented event and children are welcome. Free parking available surrounding the building.

I so enjoyed these hidden treasures of well talented members of our community. Astonishingly, last year was the first time I heard of the showcase. Loving and supporting our area, directing others to focus on our continuing achievements, I told 2 others, who attended later that day. Today I will attend with my two treasures and allow the moments of admiration and wonder to speak volumes. We are fortunate. Mahoning Valley, thank the Artisans for all their efforts.

We spent 3 lovely hours yesterday. So artsy and friendly, so much community!
And it's not too late - you haven't missed it! It's also this upcoming Saturday Nov. 29 from noon to five!
